Sophomore guard Francesca DeAngelis,
the WSC's top scorer at 20.4, was named
first-team All-WSC North and second team
All-State.

Vaqueros seeded 16th,

will face L.A. Southwest

 SBCC was seeded 16th for the Southern Cal Regional women's basketball playoffs and will play host to No. 17 L.A. Southwest on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
 The Vaqueros (18-11) won eight of their last nine games to finish second in the WSC North at 10-2. Southwest (14-11) tied Cerritos for first in the South Coast Conference South Division at 5-1.
 Vaquero guard Francesca DeAngelis, the No. 1 scorer in the WSC at 20.4 per game, was named second-team All-State on Monday. DeAngelis and Jake Kelly previously earned first-team All-WSC North honors.
 "I'm really happy with our draw," said coach Sandrine Krul. "We would have been 15th but we can't be in the same bracket with a team from our conference (No. 2 seed Ventura)."
 If the Vaqueros win, they'll travel to top-seeded Fullerton (28-1) on Saturday.
