ATI TEAS Information
Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
The TEAS exam is required as part of the application process. You must take the TEAS and have results (minimum score 62%) submitted as part of a completed application. We will accept only official results, submitted to SBCC directly from ATI. Only the current version, ATI TEAS (sixth version) is accepted.
TEAS retake policy: The SBCC ADN program currently receives a grant from the California Community College Chancellor's Office. The conditions of the grant require us to follow these regulations. The grant stipulates that we are required to accept the first ATI TEAS attempt. Therefore, additional TEAS attempts taken with the intent to raise an applicant's score will not be accepted.
If an applicant does not score a minimum overall score of 62%; the applicant must contact the ADN program director to be given a remediation plan to follow, and show evidence of having completed the plan in order to retest.
The ATI TEAS (current version) is offered at SBCC free of charge to applicants on a first come, first served basis. The dates will be posted on this site twice per year. You should register early to secure a testing date. Once all spots are filled, you will be responsible for taking the TEAS exam at another testing center and at your own expense. If seats become available, it will be noted on this site. TEAS scores are factored into the applicant's overall points for the selection process.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up for a testing date.
