Somdah, Vines make All-WSC team

Somdah is first-team choice
SBCC sophomore Richard Somdah has been named to the first-team All-WSC North men’s basketball squad and teammate Chris Vines
was an honorable mention choice.
Somdah, a 6-3 forward from Houston, Texas, was the ninth-leading scorer in the 14-team conference, averaging 16.4 points.
The left-hander scored 20, 20, 21 and 22 points in his last four games. He tallied a career-high 27 on Dec. 29 in a 79-78
win over Rio Hondo.
Somdah averaged a team-best 6.2 rebounds for the Vaqueros (7-20, 3-9) while Vines, a 6-3 sophomore, pulled down 5.6.
Vines, a former San Marcos High standout, was the No. 22 scorer in the WSC, averaging 12.9 points. He posted the highest
total by a Vaquero this season with 32 points in the second game against Victor Valley. He was No. 3 in conference steals
at 2.1.
