Eligibility Requirements

SBCC students must meet the following eligibility requirements to join EOPS Program:

• Be a California resident

• Enroll as a full-time student (12 units or more per semester)

• Have fewer than 70 units of degree applicable college credits

• Qualify to receive a Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGW)

• Be educationally disadvantaged as determined by EOPS staff

 Confirm eligibility, stop by the EOPS office during office hours to meet with a Student Program Advisors

How to Apply for EOPS

New students must follow these steps prior to joining the EOPS Program:

• Apply to SBCC  - if you attended another college, please submit official transcripts to Admissions

• Complete College Advising - may be done online

• Take Math and English Assessment Tests  

• Complete College Orientation - may be done online 

• Complete application for the Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGW)
