Classes Requiring Math or English Placement:
Information for Students and Counselors
If you are interested in a class that requires an English or math placement, you will need to follow additional steps to be eligible to register.
Math, English, and Economics Classes at the High Schools
Students will be placed into math, English, or economics classes by their high school counselors. High school counselors will verify the student's eligibility for these classes and submit the validating data on an internal Google spreadsheet. Please note that students taking math classes at the high school will not qualify if they receive a placement with a required co-requisite. Co-requisite course cohorts are not offered at the high school.
Classes at SBCC Requiring Math or English Placement
High school counselors will verify the student's eligibility and submit the validating data via the Google forms below. Please note that students who receive a math placement requiring co-requisite course Math 7C will not be eligible for the class. Dual enrollment students are not eligible to enroll in college courses numbered below 100.
Summer 2019 deadlines: All placement validation forms submitted on or before April 12th will be processed before April 19th. April 19th is the first day of registration for dual enrollment students. Any forms submitted after April 12th will be processed after April 19th in the order received.
