Task Force on Involvement of Continuing Education Students in Participatory Governance

Based on discussions at the September 9, 2010 Board Study Session, the September 23, 2010 Regular Board Meeting and the October 14, 2010 Board Study Session, it is proposed that the Board of Trustees addresses the participation of SBCC Continuing Education students in college governance through a task force composed of Continuing Education students and college administrators, faculty and staff. This is a unique opportunity to broadly engage the Continuing Education community in formulating an approach for participation in governance issues as outlined by state law and regulations for the extensive and multifaceted non-credit and community service programs of the SBCC Continuing Education Division.
