Shortstop hit .467 with 6 RBIs
Steven Reveles has been named Athlete of the Week by the Santa Barbara Athletic Round
Table.The freshman shortstop from Dos Pueblos High went 7-15 in three games (.467) with six RBIs. On Thursday, he was 2-5 with four RBIs in a 12-11 victory over Hancock.
Reveles leads the Vaqueros in batting average (.344) and RBIs (27). He's second in slugging percentage at .472.
SBCC went 2-1 last week to improve to 16-17 overall and 9-8 in the WSC North. Cuesta, whom the Vaqueros beat 17-5 on Saturday, leads the tight conference race at 11-6, followed by Moorpark (10-7), Santa Barbara (9-8), Hancock (8-9) and Ventura (7-10).
The Vaqueros, who've scored 29 runs in the last two games, have three games remaining, including two at home. They host Cuesta on Tuesday at Pershing Park at 2:30 p.m. and Oxnard on Thursday.
