Welcome

Automotive training at Santa Barbara City College will prepare you for an exciting and rewarding career in the automotive repair industry.  Right here in Santa Barbara and for a lot less money than private training programs you can complete our comprehensive program in just 2-3 semesters.  Our graduates have many job opportunities, including repair technician, service advisor, parts sales, automotive engineer, or teacher, just to name a few.

Classes are available for goal-orientated future technicians as well as those with a curious interest in cars.  These entry level classes are great for anyone that drives an automobile.  In our Auto 101 class you will learn how your car works, its service requirements, and what potential repairs might be.  You will be able to communicate with confidence to automotive service professionals.   In our Auto 110 class you can learn how to do basic automotive services yourself, such as changing oil and filter, flushing your cooling system, changing belts, hoses, spark plugs, etc.
 
All full-time faculty members have over 20 years of teaching experience and maintain skills by attending update training regularly.
