Assessment Computer Lab Drop-In Testing Hours

LOCATION: Assessment Computer Lab, upstairs in the Student Services Building

  • Before going to the lab, bring your test preparation form & your photo I.D. to the Assessment Office (SS-251) for check-in. 

  • Friday, August 25 was the deadline to test for Fall 2017 enrollment. Testing for Spring 2018 will begin in October. See monthly schedule below.

  • Tues. & Wed. Dec. 5 & 6: Drop in to begin your test(s) between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Doors to Student Services Building close at 6 p.m. Assessment lab will remain open until 9 p.m. 
  • Friday, Dec. 8: 8:30 - 1 p.m. 

JANUARY

*Friday, January 19 is the final day to test for Spring 2018 enrollment. 

BEFORE MAKING PLANS TO TEST

  1. Check the monthly schedule above. You may drop in at any time throughout the day, but all tests must be completed before closing. Allow 2 hours for English/ESL and 1-2 hours for math.
  2. Print and complete your REAP test preparation & check-in sheet. Bring the REAP form and a photo I.D. with you to testing. 

  3. If you need extended time or another accommodation for disability, you must make alternative testing arrangements before testing. Email dspshelp@sbcc.edu or call (805) 730-4164 to make arrangements for testing with an accommodation. 

TEST RESULTS

Results are posted to your Pipeline account under "Student Records" within one week following your test. Note: Result availability is subject to change. More detailed information is provided at the time of testing.

TEST RETAKE POLICY

You may only test once during a specific testing period. There are two testing periods per year: October - January is the testing period for Spring and February - August is the testing period for Summer/Fall. You may request to retake the same math test during the same testing period with written permission only. Please contact Assessment staff (805) 730-4149 to request written retake permission for math.

BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO TESTING

  1. Photo I.D., such as a driver license, state I.D. card, or passport 
  2. A completed REAP test preparation & check-in sheet
  3. Note: calculators and other electronic devices may not be used during testing. Scratch paper will be provided for the math assessment.
