Assessment Computer Lab Drop-In Testing Hours
DROP-IN COMPUTER LAB TESTING SCHEDULE
You should complete Assessment as soon as is reasonably possible based on your schedule
and test availability. Students may test only once per testing period, so it is important
that you are prepared on the day you choose to test.
Before testing, complete the steps on the REAP test preparation & check-in sheet. Bring the REAP form and a photo I.D. with you to testing.
Testing hours vary. Consult the monthly Drop-In Computer Lab Testing Schedule below and plan to test on a scheduled testing
day. All tests must be completed by closing: allow 2 hours for English and 1-2 hours
for math. Note: if you need extended time or another accommodation for disability, you must make alternative
testing arrangements prior to testing. Visit sbcc.edu/dsps for more information.

DATES:
Summer Session 2013 Drop-in Testing Dates: April 1 - June 14.
Late testing offered June 17-18.
Tuesday, June 18 is the final day for Summer 2013 testing.
Testing for Fall enrollment resumes June 24.
Fall 2013 Drop-in Testing Dates: April 1 - August 23.
Late testing offered August 26-30.
Friday, August 30 is the final day for Fall 2013 testing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING DROP-IN TESTING:

If you need extended time or another accommodation for disability, you must make arrangements prior to testing. Contact the Disability Specialists, Room SS-160, or call (805) 730-4164 as soon as possible for more information. Important: you may only take the assessment test once per testing period. (February - August is the testing period for Summer/Fall 2013).

No appointment is required for drop-in computerized testing. Most students test on computer in the Assessment Center computer lab. Paper and pencil testing is offered by appointment only. Students who are unable to test on computer need to contact the Assessment Office at (805) 730-4149 to make special arrangements at least one week prior to testing. Test results are given in the form of course placements and posted to Pipeline under "Student Records" 1-2+ days following your test. Monday/Tuesday/Friday results are available on Wednesdays; Wednesday/Thursday results are available on Fridays. Note: Result availability is subject to change. More detailed information is provided at the time of testing.

Students may test once during a specific testing period (February - August is the testing period for Summer/Fall 2013). Students may petition to retake the math test during the same testing period. Math retake permission is dependent upon diagnostic data from your original test.

Summer 2013 classes begin Monday, June 17. Late testing for Summer enrollment continues through Tuesday, June 18. Fall 2013 classes begin Monday, August 26. Late testing for Fall enrollment continues through Friday, August 30.

Bring the following required items to testing: a Photo I.D. (driver's license, passport, etc.), a pen or pencil, a completed REAP test preparation & check-in sheet, and your SBCC Student I.D. number (your "K" number, which is accessible on your Pipeline account). Calculators and other electronic devices may not be used during testing. Scratch paper will be provided for the math assessment.
