Assessment of your skills in mathematics and English helps you achieve your goals in college by placing you into classes in
which you will be successful.
If you are a first-time-in-any-college student with a goal of Associate Degree, transfer, or basic English/math skills (as reported on your application), you are required to be assessed in both math and English or English as a Second Language before registering for classes. English or Math testing may also be required for students seeking to meet a specific course prerequisite.
