Welcome

What We Do

Articulation is the process of evaluating courses to determine whether course work completed at one institution will meet requirements for admissions, transfer credit, general education and/or major preparation at another institution.

Currently SBCC has available:

  • Over 600 SBCC courses that are UC transferable.
  • Over 1,000 SBCC courses that are CSU transferable.
  • Over 1,325 articulation-by-major agreements with UC, CSU, and private/independent colleges and universities available in the Transfer Center.

Full major preparation articulation with eight campuses of the California State University system. Over 60 current major-preparation articulation agreements with UCSB. The Articulation Officer acts as a liaison for course articulation between two-year and four-year institutions. This process enables transfer students from SBCC to complete a successful transition to a four-year campus.

Articulation agreements are formal, written agreements agreed to and signed by the faculty at two colleges.
